Many injuries require bone grafting to replace missing bone by carving and grafting otherwise healthy bone tissue within the body. In effect, a secondary injury is created, which is no less painful than the original accidental injury or dental procedure. The in vitro and personalised design of bones offers the possibility of dental, accident surgery and orthopaedic applications. In other words, there is a market demand for the correction of sports injuries (e.g. skiing accidents), developmental anomalies and dental surgery, which could potentially be the largest market in the future.
